I just had to share our absolutely incredible experience from last night at Shorties Restaurant in Lane Cove. This isn't just a recommendation; it's a plea for you to go and experience the magic yourselves! Four of us went, and let me tell you, as this gem is now under new ownership, the transformation is palpable and utterly brilliant. From the very moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting, and the aroma was simply heavenly – you could distinctly smell the mulled wine! And speaking of that mulled wine, I have to dedicate a moment to it. It was, without a doubt, the best I have ever drank. It had such a unique and delightful twist to it – truly exceptional and the perfect welcome. Then came the food. Oh my goodness, the food! We ordered four starters and four main dishes between us, and every single plate that arrived at our table was nothing short of exquisite. Each dish was bursting with amazing, vibrant flavours, and the presentation was simply beautiful. You could tell there's a real passion and skill behind every creation. Please everyone, if you have not been to Shorties in a while, or if you've never been, now is definitely the time to go back and experience the remarkable difference. Go and treat yourselves – you won't be disappointed!

Amazing!! We ordered the arancini, the snapper ceviche (which was 10/10) and the scotch fillet which was devine! Best steak we've ever had and the onion thyme purre and Paris mash that accompanied it were just as incredible (another 10/10). All cocktails we ordered were beautiful too. Definitely will be returning!!

I may be a little biased given I’m a local, well 6ths local… my partner & I simply love this venue. Relaxed, alfresco, casual yet with a high end feel. Just such a friendly place. Special shout out to the stunning Alex & beautiful Ellie whose customer care & competence surpasses many venues. The food is excellent, the service so efficient, warm & welcoming. The drinks are prompt & cold, my Negroni is always on point! Thank you Alex, Ellie for the personal touch - we will see you soon

The new owner Gareth was amazing. Staff was so friendly. The atmosphere was on point all the food was so nice from the steak to The chips everything was perfect. The cocktails tasted so good. Absolutely love this place. Have to come back again, I recommended to everyone!!!!

Excellent night at Shorties celebrating our citizenship with friends. Service was incredible as well as the food and tap beers. They even gave us a gift and a card. So glad we chose this place for our special day. Thanks!!! Noelia & Brian

Reaaallly enjoyed my experience here! The food was amazing, i know that chef aint shy of no seasoning haha my partner and i loved every bit! The teams service was great, they were super nice & friendly! I didnt get to get the name of our waiter but he worked tonight and we were there around 8pm, he’s of brown complexion! We’ll definitely be back again! This might be my new fav spot

Dinned here on a Friday evening. Dog friendly establishment. We shared a few plates. The stand out dish was the snapper ceviche. The fried buttermilk chicken was generous is serving size however didn't taste that fresh. Would i come back here? Yes I would as the service was grand.
